Remixx is generously hosted for free by Brandon. The domain was born on May 24, 2003 as a personal/blog site. During the fall of 2003 and Spring of 2004, I moved to different domain names, Addicted.nu and Trashy.nu, but I eventually came back here on June 2, 2004, after the 1 year anniversary of this domain. More?

This skin was created in Photoshop and 3D Studio Max by Ashley. I'm in love with the colors and the way it's set up.

I was at school until 9:15 PM last night laying out the school newspaper. The night before, I spent a solid five hours working on it. Do you realize how much freaking work that is?! Damn, and this is only an 8 page issue; usually they're 12! Anyway, the good news is, the school newspaper will be coming out Friday. And now I get a 2 to 3 week break if I play my cards right. It's the first publication of the year (my second as the layout editor), so it's really exciting. We also have a brand new layout this year and a bunch of new features, so I can't wait till people finally read it. We've been slaving away at this for about a month! Oh yeah, and that picture along the left is me showing off my new shoes that I got in New York. I love them. (And yes, I realize I am standing on top of my bathtub/shower. Notice the shampoo and soap in the back, haha. It's the only place where I have a big mirror in my house!)

I didn't get much sleep last night because I got home really late and then had to work on homework. So I think I'm going to go take a quick nap before I start tonight's homework. [EDIT] Brandon moved me to a faster server, since the one I was on was lagging. If you can see this edit, I'm on the new server! *Dances*. [/EDIT]

Sorry for the lack of bloggage lately, but I've been rather preoccupied with things offline. Hurricane Tropical Storm Ivan hit Georgia on Thursday, which ended in a school cancellation on Friday. Of course, by Friday, Ivan was completely gone; my day off for the "storm" was filled with warm, sunny weather. But hey, who could possibly complain about a day off? Sleeping in and hanging out with friends is always good, but I did have a rather large load of assignments to complete over the weekend. I needed a vacation, but now the day off has just put me behind on a lot of things. I think we'll have to push back the release date of the first publication of the school paper because we didn't have enough time to finish it. We were counting on this weekend to do it, and that's just not going to happen. Oh well.

So yesterday felt like Christmas. I went on an Ebay shopping spree over the past week, and all my stuff arrived on the same day. I got Something Corporate's "Audioboxer EP", posters (Britney Spears, Sugarcult, Something Corporate, Yellowcard, Story of the Year, Taking Back Sunday), and a LiveStrong bracelet. I'm so excited to start decorating my room; it looks very bare since we just painted it this past week. Once I get all my posters and pictures up, I'll take pictures for you guys. I want more Ebay stuff, so I'll probably be making and selling some premade layouts over the next week; check back here and on VortexMB.com to see if I have any for sale.

Over the past few days, I've received some questions in my question box asking about my most embarassing moment. I couldn't really think of anything at the time, but I have a great story that just happened today. I can't believe I'm actually telling this, because it is quite embarassing. Anyway, my school does this thing called "Professional Day", where we have to dress up in nice clothes (guys wear ties, girls wear nice dresses, etc.). I was absent yesterday due to back pains (see my livejournal for details), and so I came into school today for Professional Day all dressed up in my tie and what not. Well apparently, Professional Day had been moved to tomorrow! I'm glad I have such nice friends to inform me of these things, *cough*. Anyway, I had my mom bring me some shorts and tennis shoes to change into, and I ditched the tie. But now I have to do it all over tomorrow, and guess what? It's picture day tomorrow! So now I'm going to be in my boring tie taking my school picture. It's going to be so ugly; I don't want to be all dressed up in my school picture for the yearbook, dammit! Oh well, maybe I can change clothes for the picture and then change back. Do you think they would care? Anyway, that was my embarassing story for those of you that were asking about it.

I ordered my high school class ring today. It's very nice; 10K white gold on white gold with "class of 2006", a tennis raquet, and my school mascot on it. I picked the March birthstone to put on it even though I was born in December. Is that allowed? Well, my birthstone is ugly, so I hope that's okay. Pictures from my New York City trip.
Dial up users beware.
Proceed.

So today is the three year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States. It's kind of ironic that I'm posting my New York City vacation pictures on the same day, however. I'm planning on a low key day; I'll probably be attending the memorial in the city to pay my respects. My thoughts go out to anyone that lost a loved one on 9/11.

If you haven't already noticed, I've added a new 3D skin by Ashley. If you wish to set your skin to the new one, click here. I'm really liking this layout, as it's a cool change from the past layout that was up for over a month. I hope you all like it as well, despite the fact that it was not made by me (yet again). I'm such a layout slacker.

In other news, I'm back from New York City! One thing this trip determined was that I'm definitely in love with big cities. I've lived in the suburbs in the Southeast for my entire life, and living in a big busy city would be such an awesome change if I was given the opportunity. I took some awesome pictures that I'd post up here for y'all, but my mom still has the camera with her in New York. Hopefully I can get the pictures downloaded by the end of the week.

These people rock: Alisa, Amy, Andrea, Annie, Atiqah, Axel, Bethany, Chelly, Daniel, Denysia, Ding Wen, DJ, Donna, Elly, Elyse, Emma, Faith, Felicia, Fiona, Firras, Jacqui, Janet, Jeff, Jeni, Jenny, Joan, John, Julie, Kathleen, Kayla, Kimmy, Kyle, Laura, Lauren, Leslie, Marie-Eve, Maxine, Melissa, Nathan, Phoebe, Reema, Rob, Sarah J, Sofie, Tanya, Taryn, Travis, and Vigo. I'm a few blog entries behind on returning comments, but hopefully I'll have time to do that soon.
