I split my Thursday night between the following activities: watching reruns of The OC and The Daily Show, talking with friends on the phone, and working on this new layout. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I haven’t had much to do lately. Most of my friends have gone out of town this week, and the few that are here are either sick or working on summer assignments for school. I, too, should be doing the latter, but I can’t bear to work on school stuff. I desperately need to start getting back into a school routine, though, such as getting up before the day is half over, not eating all day, etc.
Thank you to those of you who have continued to visit my site and comment everyday. I’ve fallen behind with returning, but trust that I will catch up in the next day or two.

What do I do when I’m bored, and reruns of Date My Mom have lost my interest? Read. I actually had a very productive day today, hitting the 200 page mark in Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs. It’s an excellent book, by the way, so definitely give it a read if you get a chance. Some of the essays remind me of the quirky things I think about during the day, reassuring me that I’m not the only amateur Real World scholar in the world.
Speaking of books… I started a Booklog. It will grow with time.
I’m gearing up for my last year of high school. I received my confirmed schedule in the mail (although some things still need to be switched around. Those administrators never get it completely correct the first time). My senior year should go as follows once things are worked out:
A Period: Precalculus (year)
B Period: Unscheduled (year)
X Period: Government/Politics (1st semester), Contemporary History (2nd semester)
C Period: Journalism (year)
D Period: History in the Media (1st semester), Study Hall (2nd semester)
E Period: AP Spanish, level five (year)
F Period: English 12

I’m no longer participating in the free iPod contest, and the banner/popups have been removed. I haven’t decided how to go about addressing the situation (meaning: I don’t want to get sued for saying anything I shouldn’t), so I’m not going to do that just yet.
More later.
In other news, I saw the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tonight. Thankfully I bought a child ticket and only had to pay $5.50 for that shit. Johnny Depp, find a new job.

First of all, I have a favor to ask: please click this link to help me win a free iPod. Mine was lost/stolen about a month ago, and I’m in need of a replacement. (Some friends and I have a little conspiracy theory about what happened to it, but I won’t go into it here) …All you need to do is click that link, take a screenshot, and email it to scott Don’t forget to send me your website address and 88x31 button; you will be receiving free button advertisement on Remixx.net for two weeks. (Your IP can be counted once per day, so feel free to click every day and tell your friends to do the same; I really need this favor!) … Notice: I’m going to have to discontinue the advertising deal now. I appreciate all of the support, but my fingers are just too tired to keep adding buttons. I’ve added 17 today (and plan to add the remaining 10 or so in the next few hours), but no more will be added after that. I’d appreciate continued support, though, even if I don’t offer the advertising deal anymore. Thanks for all of the clicks so far!
Now that that’s out of the way… wow, it feels weird to be sitting down at a computer. I’ve been so busy with friends and the 48 Hour Film Project this past week, there hasn’t been a lot of time for the Internet. I guess being out of the house all the time is a good thing, though, so I’m not complaining. Speaking of the 48 Hour Film Project: the Atlanta screening was tonight. They reserved a movie theater and screened all of the entries (about 15 in total, I believe). Watching myself on the big screen was weird, but cool. The other films blew ours out of the water in terms of special effects and graphics, but there wasn’t anything we could do about that. We’re only teenagers (half of my group isn’t even out of high school yet), and the rest of the teams ranged in age from 25-45.
After the screening downtown tonight, a few of us went over to a friend’s house who just had her wisdom teeth taken out. We brought ice cream and a card to help her feel better. I remember when I had my wisdom teeth out a few years ago; my cheeks were even bigger than normal and I was asleep (painkiller induced, of course) for days. Thankfully, I got to drink a lot of milkshakes and eat a lot of ice cream.
I’m off to bed, but please remember to vote for me by clicking!

What a crazy weekend!
I participated in the 48 Hour Film Project with some friends of mine, and I’m dead tired. For those who are too lazy to click that link and read about it, I’ll explain the concept of the project here. Each group is given a genre, character name, and line that must be in the movie; afterward, each group is given 48 hours to write, film, edit, and turn in a movie. We were given “mockumentary” as our genre, and we were required to use a marriage counselor.
Our film (entitled What’s the Problem?) is a takeoff of the Mr. and Mrs. Smith marriage counselor scene, but we came up with four crazy, out-there couples. My favorite was the couple involving the wife cheating on the husband with the carpenter. He rang the doorbell with his “wood” and screwdriver in hand, asking if anything needed to be screwed. After that, he proceeded to “pose sexily” (though didn’t succeed) and lick his face. As if that weren’t enough, we had an abusive/crazy wife, a “frisky” couple who had sex everywhere, and Batman/Robin (note: the actors who played this gay couple were brothers… haha!).
I loved the group of kids involved. We went out at 1:00 am to buy the Trick Daddy CD because we really wanted to hear that “Sugar” song. We then proceeded to dance to it on the sidewalk and get crunk. It was a party, because we’re so cool. Don’t laugh.
All in all, it was a fun two days. I love any chance I have to meet out-of-school friends. If I can figure out a way to download the film onto my computer, I’ll try to post it here so everyone can watch. That might be hard to do, though. (By the way, I apologize for any grammar problems with this entry; I’m still running on little sleep.)
