To do list
I have a really unsettling feeling right now. The one I get when I realize that I’ve taken on too many responsibilities at once. In the next 48 hours, I must accomplish the following:
— Finish reading Brave New World before the test.
— Memorize the rest of my Spanish vocabulary and finish my essay about where I’m going to be in 10 years. By the way, I hate writing essays like this. I’m always so embarassed when I read them a few years later.
— Interview the drama kids and write a newspaper article about the school play. I suppose I could turn it in a few days late and abuse my editor powers, but I don’t feel like causing trouble.
— Talk to every single club president at my school and find out their plans. I’m in charge of the “Club Watch” column for the newspaper.
— Senior picture retakes. My first ones were terrible!
— Burn some mix CDs for my friend in Missouri. I promised to do this months ago but never got around to it.
— Jack’s Mannequin listening party in downtown Atlanta. I really want to go, but I don’t know if I will have time. Plus, I’ll have to miss The OC.
I don’t know where all of this school work came from. A few weeks ago, I had the luxury of being able to sit at home and do nothing all night. I desperately want that feeling back. Hopefully things will settle after the weekend.
