I’m an OC junkie, so it’s only fitting that I make an entry about the season premiere. Here are some thoughts that ran through my head while watching (and they probably won’t make sense unless you saw the episode). Caution: spoilers!
Ryan’s hair: what happened? How did he have time to stop for a haircut on the way to the hospital after his brother was shot? (Yes, I realize that the episode took place a few months after the shooting. However, Ryan’s hair was short in his dream that took place in the hospital, which doesn’t make sense. I notice continuity mistakes like this all the time.)
Oh, and Marissa’s weave was insane, too.
I loved Seth’s comments about baseball. (I really need to rewind the tape so I can get the quotes exactly, but here’s the jist of the conversation between Seth and Ryan.)
Seth: I just don’t understand that thing they call, uh, baseball.
Ryan: You mean our national pasttime?
Seth: I see it as more of a fad, really.
I was really hoping for an Oliver comeback. With Kirstin in rehab, it would be a perfect time to reintroduce him to the show. They could be buddies, or something. Instead, Kirstin is hanging out with some lesbian-esque sketchy woman who I’m hoping will not become a regular on the show. I just know she’s going to ruin Kirstin and Sandy’s relationship. If they can’t make it, no one can.
I usually love Julie Cooper, but she seemed too evil in this episode. Bribing Trey to blame the whole shooting on Ryan? How could she do that to her daughter’s boyfriend? Oh right, she’s Julie Cooper; there really are no morals for her.
Where’s Jess? I miss her, even though she’s an evil little coke whore who ruined everyone’s lives. Oh well.
Reunion was surprisingly good. Did anyone else notice that Hayley from The OC is one of the six characters? She sure gets around on all of these Fox shows: first The OC, then North Shore, and now Reunion. All within a year or two. Damn.
Thanks for reading. Hit up my comments with your thoughts on the episode. I’m interested to hear what everyone else thought!

Yeah, many people are complaining about Ryan’s hair. But what was he supposed to do? He couldn’t keep his mega-ugly season 2 hair-cut all summer, could he?
One explanation is that when you dream, even if you dream about something that happened ages ago, you see yourself as you are now.

lmfao. Yeah - Hailey (don’t know her real name) really does get around Fox’s shows. The premier was good. I don’t like the other rehab woman either, and I was hoping to see Jess (??) in the episode too. Julie did seem almost too evil for me too, like wow. I noticed Ryan’s hair too.. his face looks chubbier now. haha. I didn’t watch Reunion though.. maybe next week..

OMG. The OC was amazing! You’re so observant.
I love Seth Cohen, he cracks me up. “Its more of a fad, really”. haha. Thats just priceless.
The chick thats hanging around over kirstin is a total lesbo. Thats just the way it is.
Oh, and I wish Jess would come back too. She was awful but she made things interesting. Her and Julie could be long lost relatives, seriously.

season premier was so-so for me, one thing was for sure I am soooooo happy Trey didn’t die : ) so there is still a chance that he will come back soon. Good times! (to much strangers with candy) I don’t miss Jess because she was sort of a sucky-badly-written-character for me at least, she also sucked on reunion. Why the hell is the main girl keeping her damn baby?!? Baffles me. back to the OC– hated Marissa’s weave to, it was so ugly on the other hand i loved summers bathing suit because i have it of course (Jesus it was like $130 good thing i got it for a lot cheaper)

I’m so scared about this woman that Kirstin is hanging out with. I really love her and Sandy together and I hope this woman doesn’t ruin everything for them. She’s like EVIL. I wanted to jump through the TV and be like GET AWAY FROM HER YOU EVIL THING!!! I’m such an OC junkie too, can you tell? Reunion seems like a good show, but I miss the North Shore I think that Amanda (Hayley) should go back to the OC. It would probably be a lot better for her acting career.

I’ve never watched The O.C. for the fact that everyone watches it.. Heh. Prison Break, in my opinion, is awesome. I missed Reunion, I was definitely looking forward to that.

I thought Trey would have died. I’m glad he didn’t. I hope he doesn’t disappear for ever. I kind of liked that character. I don’t know why in the next episode Ryan and Marissa is going to be expelled. But I guess I’ll have to find out next week.

Yay for the OC! I was waiting for the premiere for what seemed like ever. I also noticed most of the continuity problems. Julie Cooper is definately one of the most interesting characters on the show. I think the show wouldn’t be as good as it is without her. She stirs the pot.

well i dont even think the season’s hit here yet , but continuity mistakes suck.

I think it was somewhat obvious that Trey would either die or live. But anyways, it was good. :] Seth, I love Seth. Funny guy. Cutie. I think I want more Seth&Summer action this season.
Reunion was surprisingly good. Yeah, I was like is that Hayley from The O.C.? I’m glad the O.C. is back, my Thursday must watch is back. ♥

I know what you mean with the hair. I was just “uhh wasn’t his hair a bit longer before?” I didn’t catch all of it, I was waiting for Reunion to be on.

Haha I totally agree with on Ryan’s hair. I hate it completely and totally. Reunion was good, but I totally missed Hayley. I liked this episode, but it was sad how Trey just left without saying anything to Ryan. And I really really really don’t miss Jess. She suucked.
