I’ve always thought democrat politicians that sent their kids to private schools were hypocrites. The democrat party is always trying to talk up the public education system and that it’s what we should be using… it’s actually the republicans that are strong on sending their children to private schools. It’s the republicans with the philosophy of small government and not relying on the government on things such as the public education sysytem. So it’s to be expected to get that kind of rant from an old republican;)

I am not a republican or a democrat and so I do know what’s it’s like to hear people saying things that I completely disagree with and it can drive me nuts. There are times when it is appropiate to debate and argue a point… obviously while working on a republican campaign with older people you should really consider before entering a heated debate(that probably won’t change anyone’s mind) lol.

About supporting the lesser of two evils… I battle with that alot. I’m a libertarian and my party is quite small and many people would say when I vote for a libertarian candidate that I am throwing away my vote, but I don’t believe I am. It just doesn’t feel right voting for someone I strongly disagree with, but I dunno… there are certain times where I might vote for someone from one of the bigger parties, if they are going to make a difference in an issue I have great concern over.

Anyways, I think you are right on for getting into politics and caring at such a young age and I don’t think it matters if you are working for the opposing side for the time being, because you will still learn alot:)
