First of all, I put up a new theme by Kyle. I’ve told him for the past two years that he had to make me a layout, and he finally did. So thank you, Kyle; I love it! Click here if you don’t see it. (Should you spot any coding problems, please let me know. I did this one a little bit differently, and I may have missed some things)

Orientation at CFA went well. After some uniform problems (first it was way too small, then it was a bit too large), I was trained for three hours. I started to pick up on a lot of things mentioned in Fast Food Nation: the theme of “teamwork,” being compensated with extra food over extra money, hiring lots of young teenagers, etc. The people seem very friendly, so I’m hoping that this will be a positive work experience.

The soft-serve ice cream maker (or “dream cream” as they like to call it) is not as easy to operate as it looks. You’d think that pushing down the lever would be easy, but it definitely requires skill. All of the newbies tried to make an ice cream cone, and the other workers had a good time laughing at our big mess. I can’t make “pretty” ice cream cones to save my life.

Wow, this layout is amazing. But I really love the coding. You did a really nice job scott. Hah this site never ceases to amaze me. I like how you only used a little bit of yellow in the text to accent the layout. Its great. Well anyways I guess thats it. haha.

I used to work at Chic-Fil-A! Now I work at American Adventures (the kids theme park; have you heard of it?). Anyway–talk about the worst summer job. My supervisor tries to work me like a slave and the kids are annoying as hell.

If I didnt have to pay my car insurance, I woud have ditched this job a month ago.

There’s something different about this layout that I like, but I don’t like the fact it side-scrolls in 800x600. I also love how you did the alternating background on the comments. Just think of it this way, the more hours you work, the sooner your debt will get paid off.

I tried to make an ice cream cone with one of those machines one time…..I haven’t done it since.

I work at a college campus dining hall, so I get stuck with loading 1000+ dishes onto a dishwashing conveyer belt. Ice def. sounds more fun! =) I’m sure you’ll get better at it; pretty soon you’ll be able to make ice cream oragami…or something. And while we’re still on the subject of fast food, I must say that this layout makes me think of McDonald’s, and I really want a Big Mac now.

Lovely layout, it’s very nice and original. Ha, that sucks about the ice cream thing. But hey, when you become a pro doing the ice cream thing, you can laugh at the newbies like how the ‘pros’ laughed at you newbies.
