About the domain
Remixx is generously hosted for free by Magic Communications. The domain was born on May 24, 2003 as a personal/blog site. During the fall of 2003 and Spring of 2004, I moved to different domain names, Addicted.nu and Trashy.nu, but I eventually came back here on June 2, 2004, after the 1 year anniversary of this domain. "SATs!"

[EDIT] New layout added to the yardsale page featuring Jake Gyllenhaal. Go buy it! [/EDIT]

I wish someone would acknowledge the fact that the SATs are not an accurate or up to date test of students’ knowledge. There is only a small correlation between a student’s intelligence and his/her SAT score, yet that test is a huge deciding factor of which colleges he/she can attend. The only thing an admissions board can really get out of a student’s test scores is how well he/she took that one test, instead of his/her overall intelligence. And on top of that, it sucks a good four hours out of a Saturday morning which could otherwise be used for catching up on sleep. Yeah, if you haven’t already guessed, I took the SATs for the first time over the weekend. However, this wasn’t the first time I’ve ever seen the test. I’ve taken a few SAT prep classes, and I’ve taken the PSAT twice; I’ve just never taken one that would go on my transcript. I think I did okay. This isn’t going to be my last time taking the SAT though; I’m probably going to take the old SAT again in January/February and then the new SAT (with writing) a few times after that. I highly doubt I’ll ever be satisfied by my score. Anyway, now I’m sitting here thinking to myself: where did my weekend go?

I only have one more full week of school classes left until Christmas vacation. You’d think I’d be excited about that, right? Not so much. Once you throw in a few more days of classes next week and then three days of exams, my vacation won’t start until December 22nd. The coming weeks will also be the most stressful of all, somewhat like the end of the school year. Teachers will try to cram in last minute tests, projects, and homework assignments, in an effort to fuck up our semester grades and make us want to kill ourselves. I’m not looking forward to this at all.

Sidenote: go see “National Treasure.” The plot sounds really stupid, but it was so worth by $8, despite the horrible acting.
