This is a momentous occasion for Remixx.net: I've made a new layout (yes,
myself!)...

Breathe On Me. I'm really feeling the colors on this layout; the metallic blue feel to it reminds me of winter. In addition to the new layout, I've organized a
portfolio page with a lot of my past layouts/graphics from the past year. I really only made it to shut the people up that said that I was untalented because I bought a lot of layouts recently. I hope you all like the portfolio and the new layout, and don't forget to leave a comment.
In my offline life, I've gone movie crazy. I think it's unhealthy how addicted I am to movies. Over the past week, I've seen Catwoman (which I blogged about on the 25th), I Robot, Old School (on HBO), The Bourne Supremecy, and The Bourne Identity (on HBO). I think the Bourne movies were amazing, and everyone should go see them. Now I know why they've done so well at the box office... watching them is like a roller coaster ride. It's so action packed! I sound like a commercial, don't I? I was supposed to have some friends come over tonight and watch DVDs with me, but one flaked on me and the plans kind of fell apart. Hopefully I'll get to do something tomorrow, because I've been really bored lately. I need a vacation from this boring life!
I'm sorry my blogs are always so boring here. It's hard to think of interesting things to say every few days because I post most of it at my

Welcome back to Remixx.net. The whole server was down (including Vortex, CamSlam, and everyone I host), but it's back up again. Two days without a site seems like a million years to me. I'm pathetic, I know. Anyway, I was quite productive during my short break. I finished one half of my summer reading, and I plan to do the rest today or tomorrow. I also finished a new layout. Yes, I've finally made another layout of my
own, aren't you excited? Well, I'm going to go run backups on all my sites hosted on this server, just in case the downtime happens again. I'm hoping the domain works for everyone, and expect a real blog and a new layout soon!

I saw
Catwoman tonight, and it was freaking amazing. I thought it was going to be overly corny like most "super hero" movies, but this one blew me away. I suppose one factor of me liking it was Halle Berry jumping around in a skimpy leather outfit with holes all over it... *imagines*. I urge you all to go see it right this second if you haven't already. I'm probably going to go see it again with some other friends. I seem to like seeing movies twice... I've done it with the past three movies I've seen. I'm such a generous patron to the movie industry, *sigh*.
I'm getting really upset about how fast summer is passing. It seems like just last week was the beginning of summer, but time has moved really fast lately. I can't believe it's already July 25, leaving me with only two weeks left of my vacation. This sucks. I've yet to even start my summer reading assignments, and I'm really not in the mood to go back to a boring life of sitting in classrooms all freaking day. And on top of that, I'm extremely nervous to begin my second to last year of high school. It's so scary to think about the future and knowing that I'm almost out in the real world. I think I'm getting a bit ahead of myself though.
Scott's tip of the day: Run virus scans on a regular basis (preferably more than once a week). I'm learning that lesson the hard way, with having to do multiple scans to somehow get rid of eight viruses that I've accumulated since July 9th, my last virus scan. Who would actually take time out of their lives to construct a virus to annoy other people? That just seems awfully pathetic to me. People like that need lives! Thank you for all the comments again:

here. I really should get back to making my own layouts again, but this one just blew me away so I had to buy it. I love the colors, the pictures, the song, everything.
Billy told me how to make seperate b2 templates for all of my skins yesterday; consequently, following his directions also got rid of the comment page error. I think we killed two birds with one stone, for lack of a better cliche, haha.
I can already predict that today and tomorrow are going to be really stressful days. The primary is tomorrow, so everyone is really busy around the office trying to get in last minute phone calls encouraging people to vote, etc. I'm probably going to be putting up signs tonight too, so I'm going to be busy busy busy. Thank god we'll be able to breathe a little easier after the primary... then we only have to worry about the actual election in November. I don't really think we have that much competition anyway, but you never know. Maybe after all this work is over, I'll be able to start making some layouts. I've been so freaking busy lately, I just haven't had the time, the energy, or the desire toPhotoshop. Thank god people sell nice layouts for losers like me to buy! Probably one of the worst fears about this whole internet/website thing is that I'm not actually talking to who I think I'm talking to. I've always had such great trust in internet friends, despite what my parents have advised. I guess this is kind of an "I told you so" day for both my parents and I.
Billy just determined that Adrianna, formerly of adri.vitaxia.net and aurexx.net, was a complete lie. Her rape and child were fake, just as I had said (and got hated for), and every word she typed was bullshit. No, she's not a 15 year old girl from California, she's some 20 year old freak named Erica. What the fucking hell. This makes me not want to trust anyone online ever again. I'm kind of happy that I was right all along, and I finally get to say "I told you so" to everyone that doubted me. But at the same time, I'm kind of offended that my trust, along with many other peoples', was breached with Erica's lies. I'm going to bed. New layout soon if I can get my lazy ass into Photoshop.

My volunteer work has gone pretty well this week, but it's getting pretty stressful now that the election is coming up. There's a lot of mailouts that need to be done, phonecalls that need to be made, and yard signs that need to be delivered, so it's a lot of work. I was driving all across town the other day delivering signs to houses... it was quite an adventure. Ok... I really can't think straight right now... I hope that this blog makes sense and you're not just thinking "wtf?" as you read this right now... it's too late at night for me to be forming coherent sentences. I'm off to bed. Tomorrow I have a friend coming into town to stay here, so that will be fun. Bye.

Today is kind of a milestone for me, and for
Vortex. Who would have thought that a site that I own would ever last a full year?! Yep, that's right, today is
Vortex's first birthday! When starting it, I never had such high expectations for it, but it's become one of the most popular boards in the teen blog community (at least in my little corner of it). I'd just like to thank all the members that have supported it over the past year, and hopefully year two will be even better than the first... and I hope I have the opportunity to wish Vortex a happy second birthday in 2005. So now I'm going to plug Vortex in really big writing, and if you're not a member, you should go join! And if you are a member, go post to help celebrate Vortex's birthday!

Travis Wajeeha. However, I'm going out on a limb and guessing that my "new skins" aren't as exciting as my previous "new layouts" based on the lower number of comments. I suppose I will live (shut up, I know I'm a comment whore).
I don't think I've mentioned this in my blog, but my cell phone is broken. It was almost two weeks ago when I noticed that the screen had large cracks in it, and the LCD stuff started leaking black stuff all over the screen. I took it to the T-Mobile store immediately to try to get it fixed or get a new one, but they said it would cost $70 for repairs since it wasn't covered in the warranty and I didn't have insurance. They promised me that they would ship out a "loaner" phone to my house, and I could put in my sim card with all my phone numbers and send my phone to the factory to be repaired. The T-Mobile guy said it would come July 1st or 2nd at the latest, but it didn't. So we called the T-Mobile customer service demanding to know what was taking so long, and they said that they didn't have any more of my type of phone in stock, and it would take a little longer. I was then guaranteed that it would arrive by July 9th, and it still didn't come. My mom called them back on the 9th and asked again what was going on, and they said they would "file a report" and see if they could give the T-Mobile store clearance to give me a new phone on the spot, but they said it could take until sometime this week. So by then I would have gone two and a half weeks with an out of commision phone, yet I'm still being billed for my minutes. I suppose it still works, I just can't read anything on the screen so I haven't been using it. I really hate T-Mobile
and Catherine Zeta Jones.
We had a power failure last week, and all the clocks were blinking 12:00. We've reset most of them to the proper time, except for the one that sits in the room next to my computer. I can see it everytime I sit down here, and it's been bugging me for quite a while. Blink. Blink. Blink. I suppose I should go fix that before I go insane. That's all for now.
[EDIT] I dyed my hair brown again. I had put "sun in" in it to hopefully put some blondeness back in it, but it turned orange. I had to fix it, it looked hideous. Here's some pictures, click to enlarge...

I've somehow become really productive with this domain lately, and I've been re-organizing and adding a lot of things. First off, I have a
new skin; because you probably already have a skin choice selected, you'll need to
click here to be able to view it. That's really weird saying "new skin" instead of new layout. Anyway, I've also installed a plug board at the bottom of the side column where you can plug your site with an 88x31 button. I also began joining fanlistings again and I've finally set up
Flinx to organize all the ones I've joined.

skin previews page,
blog statistics,
blog archives, and I just added tons of new buttons to the
domain page.
[/EDIT] That's a hell of a lot of work for me, so I'm really proud. I hope you enjoy the
new skin and all the other stuff I've added! Who knows, I might even finish up the
visitor section or add some new
tutorials! Please comment and tell me what you think about all the new stuff (oh, and the comments page now matches with whatever skin you've chosen). But please, don't tell me "I like the old one better" or anything of that nature... just don't comment if you're going to say that.
I guess you can imagine that since I've been working so hard on my site today, I haven't really had much of an offline life. I was planning on going to see
Spiderman 2 again tonight (btw, that movie was awesome), but those plans fell apart. I really wish all my friends could drive... it would make life so much easier. I hate this "six month" rule where you have to have had your license for six months before you can drive anyone other than family. Thank god my six months is this month, and I can finally drive my friends around (legally). Sigh,
Shami is getting drunk right now, and I'm really jealous. Why can't I ever be a bad kid for once? I've never done that kind of stuff... I feel so goody goody. Well, I'm off to bed... while the rest of the world is having fun... leave me lots of comments!

Blah, so we're in the process of redecorating my room. I'm quite sick of the current paintjob and my sheets, so we're going to redo it. I'm still trying to convince my parents to let me move to the basement because it's so much bigger and I'd even have a kitchen! No one even goes down there, so I don't see why I can't make that into my room. I'm rather sick of my room... I've lived there for almost 17 years. Anyway, I haven't decided what kind of color scheme I want. I've always had blue walls and a blue comforter so I kind of want to break away from that. I kind of want something green or red, but I'm not sure. And before today, I never knew how much of a pain it is shopping for new sheets. Who knew you had to buy all sorts of junk like sheets, pillow thingies, sham covers, bed skirts, and shit like that?! I say we just hire someone to do it, haha. This is so not worth my time.
So for all you Americans, how was your 4th of July? Mine seemed to be never ending. It started at 8 AM on July 3rd to be exact, when I woke up early to ride in a parade of one of the politicians I'm volunteering for. I didn't exactly ride in the parade; instead, I was the "sticker bitch" and I passed out stickers and brochures about him for people on the streets. I did get to walk in part of the parade though, but it was mostly just walking around (in the rain) passing out shit to people that didn't want it. Let me tell you, that's a lot of fun (cough). Then I went to the Republican barbecue, which was more like a George W. Bush cult meeting. They were chanting "four more years" and saying to "re-elect the best president that ever lived". I, however, was chanting "six more months" while I plastered John Kerry stickers on the walls. After that I attended the fireworks, which kind of sucked. Then on the actual 4th of July, I went to some more fireworks! The fun just never ended for me, heh.

Remixx.net is back from it's less than 24 hour break! I had to take down the index page in order to completely recode it for my latest addition to the site... skins! If you don't like my current layout, you can browse through some of my previous layouts and use one of those instead. Of course, since this just started, you only have two skins to choose from. But as I put up new layouts like I regularly do as time goes on, you'll have a larger selection. I'm even considering bringing back some older layouts from Remixx.net to add to your selection, but I'm not sure. The good thing about skinning my site is that it cleaned out all the excess junk from my coding, and I'd been meaning to do that for a while. I'd just like to thank
Jennifer for her awesome skinning tutorial and Corey for helping me every step of the way, haha! I'm going to be making a "skin preview" page later so you can preview all the skins with a screenshot before you select, but that will have to wait until I'm less busy. I hope you enjoy the skin-ness, and tell me if there's any problems with the coding.
I'm excessively yawning today. I guess that's because I've been so damn busy with all this political campaigning stuff lately. Both elections are only weeks away, so it's crunch time now. I'll probably get busier and busier as the elections approach. I think I've worked every day this week except Wednesday, and I'll also be working weekends. This is like school all over again... I'm always tired!
