Remixx is generously hosted for free by Brandon. The domain was born on May 24, 2003 as a personal/blog site. During the fall of 2003 and Spring of 2004, I moved to different domain names, Addicted.nu and Trashy.nu, but I eventually came back here on June 2, 2004, after the 1 year anniversary of this domain. This skin was created out of boredom while I was surfing through my past layouts. I attempted to remake an older layout from Remixx.net, but I added some "modern" trends to it (Josh and Kyle's brushes, etc.). Enjoy!

I just got back from my volunteer work at the campaign, and I honestly don't know how much more of this Republican nonsense I can take. I worked on a big mail out today where we had to stuff and stamp envelopes, so of course there was a lot of time to talk. I was in there with two girls from my school and some crazy old people, and I thought I was going to shoot myself. This old man was so psychotic, and he was a hard core Bush supporter.. (figures, haha..). Then somehow we got on the subject of all these democratic celebrities trying to voice their beliefs and opinions in the media, and the guy was trying to tell me that their opinions mean nothing and they're too stupid to form an opinion. Sorry mister, but they're richer and more successful than you, so shut the hell up. There were so many times where I could have told them off, but I had to use self control and put on a fake smile. Then they got on the subject of public education and they were criticizing politicians that sent their kids to private school. Excuse me, I have a friend whose dad is a state senator and a friend who's mom works for the Atlanta Public School System, both of which go to private school with me, and one of them is sitting in this room, so watch what you say. Then he was trying to glorify Bush and tell me that Kerry is such a horrible person, blah blah blah. I really don't care. Politicians aren't going to be perfect, and I don't believe with Kerry 100%, but sometimes you have to pick the lesser of two evils, you know? They're such lunatics, I swear. I could only bear to spend three hours there today, then we left. Hopefully I won't have to deal with these crazy mail room people anymore. I definitely prefer making phone calls or making yard signs.

Surprise! I went old school on your ass with a brand new layout featuring Christina Aguilera with Dashboard Confessional song lyrics! This layout was made in a slightly different style than my past few layouts because I was trying to immitate my old style from summer '03 (blue 3d and tables). I think I achieved it, but I don't know how long I'll leave it up. It depends on what kind of reaction I get from yall, so go leave a comment at the top of the entry and tell me what you think. Oh, and let me know if this works in all browsers, because I'm not very sure. Commenters will be plugged in the next entry as usual.

But while I'm on the subject of layouts, I do have something to address. I know I kept my last layout up for a really long time in most people's minds, but I don't really care. I really loved the last layout, and this is my site. I worked for it, and I can update and change layouts whenever I please. I don't work on your schedule, so don't think you're entitled to bossing me around. This site is obviously designed with the visitor in mind, but I'm not going to stress over needing a new layout every god damn week. I may decide to keep one up for 8 months if I please, so don't think I'm going to fulfill every single one of your demands. When you say "jump", I won't say "how high?" I'll say fuck off. End of rant.

Because my SAT prep class ended on Friday, I have scheduled some new activities to keep myself occupied with during the day. If I don't have plans at all times, I feel depressed and lonely, so I have to keep my mind on a certain task. I've decided to volunteer at Johnny Isacson's senate campaign office during the mornings and afternoons with a friend of mine. Even though Johnny's a republican, I'll still be keeping myself occupied with something. It's hard to find any democrats in this state because Georgia is so widely republican. I feel like a minority. At night, I'll be volunteering at my friend's dad's law office to help out with his US Congress campaign. He's a republican also, but hey, I can use this volunteer hours on my college resume and hopefully get a nice reccomendation from these people. I think having a US Congressman and a US Senator reccomend me for college would be great, don't you think? Oh, and I put up my John Kerry bumper sticker on my car today. I feel so damn political. I can't wait for my 18th birthday.

First an foremost, go add my new live journal: /~thismadness. Well it's not really new, I just red it. It's been dead for about a month, and I needed a place again for private blogs. You need a live journal to be on my friends list, for those of you that don't know.

I seriously thought I posted a new blog last night. I typed it all up, and I was waiting till midnight to post it since it was 11 PM at that time. But I guess I forgot, and it was somehow deleted? It wasn't there anymore when I got home from SAT class a little while ago. That's so odd, *murders b2*. I'm now going to try to answer some of your questions about my Windows XP Mac theme. Where did I get it? I searched "StyleXP" on Google and downloaded the "men" version, which had the Mac theme as default. Why would I want it? Because I love how macs look, and I can still use all my windows programs and stuff. I hope that cleared some things up.

I've had that damn Jojo song stuck in my head all week. You know that little 12 year old ghetto white girl from MTV that sings that "get out right now" song? It's quite addicting, even though it's cheesy pop. I just find it odd that a 12 year old is singing about stuff like that. When I was 12, all I cared about was... well, I don't really know. I don't think I had a fully functioning brain at 12. Wait, I still don't. Wait, I'm confusing myself. Anyway, I feel so dirty listening to Jojo. I could probably babysit her. She's hot though. I hope I don't get arrested for saying that.

And in other news, my parents are dumbasses. My mom lost the cordless mouse to their computer, so now they have to steal mine and use it whenever they please. They're too lazy to go buy a new one, and it's really bothering me. They never put it back after they're done either, ugh.

I'm so excited. It's for such a dorky reason though, but here goes. I downloaded StyleXP (with the help of Kyle) and made my computer look like a Mac! How freaking exciting is this? Click here for a screenshot of my desktop so you can see my Mac-ness in action. Yay for me.

Day 1 of my SAT "Boot Camp" Prep Course was today at my math tutoring place. I think they're trying to be cute by calling it a "Boot Camp" and putting toy soldiers all around the room, but somehow I'm not amused. I don't like getting up before mid-afternoon, and I don't like sitting in freezing cold classrooms for long periods of time during my summer vacation. Thank God it's only one week because if it was longer I think I would stab myself in the face with one of the little toy soldiers.

La la la... Ross sold me a GMail invite for Vling Vling, but I'm stuck on names. Pornstar is taken, so what will I do now?! If you have any good names, please leave them in my comments. GMail is still in Beta, so a lot of names are available. I need to snatch one up before all the good ones are taken!

The University of Georgia student center and I are not on good terms right now. When I was at camp last week, I went in there a few times with some friends to play video games and ping pong. Since we weren't students there, they made one of us give them our driver's license every time we came in. Everone else remembered to pick theirs up, but I forgot to get mine again. I realized Thursday night that I didn't have it, so I informed the camp director that I needed to go find it. She told me to wait until Friday morning, but then I got in trouble (long story...). So I then realized Friday afternoon that I still didn't have it, and told the camp director again. She made some phone calls, but nobody gave her any information as to where it was. So Friday night, I decided to just go and get it myself, without any help desks on the phone. They told me they turned it in to the cashier's desk the night before, but it was closed for the weekend now. That's just great. Friday night was the last night of camp, and then I was going home the next day. They told me they'd mail it to me when the desk re on Monday, so I signed a little slip saying they had permission to do that. Almost one week later, it still hasn't arrived. So I called the information desk again, they put me through to the cashier's desk, and they don't have it. They remember me though, but they can't find my license. So now I get to spend the next few glorious hours of my life standing in line at the DMV getting a new one. I love my life.

[Edit] Thank you Josh for fixing my b2 so you can only post a new comment every six hours. Hopefully that will stop the losers trying to spam my comments! [/Edit]

My back is being excrutiatingly painful right now for some reason. I woke up today around 11 with slight back pain, maybe from sleeping wrong. I didn't think much of it at first, but it progressed so much that I just went back to bed for about four hours. I woke up and could barely sit up or even breathe. I've been laying on a heating pad for the past hour, so it's kind of numb right now. I'll probably have to go lay down again in a little while. I think it's just because I slept wrong or something, because I haven't done anything really active lately. [Edit] I just got back from the chiropractor, where I spent virtually my whole day. I only got about four hours of sleep last night, and I had to take sleeping pills and really strong perscription painkillers to get me to fall asleep. I couldn't even move my neck or any part of my body. The chiropractor said it was from sleeping on my stomach, and it caused my neck vertibrae or something to be extended when they shouldn't be. So that was sending shooting pains throughout my back and that's why it was all cramping up and not allowing me to move. He popped my back a lot, and now I'm even more sore. I can walk now though, which is good. I sort of look like the hunchback of Notre Dame though. I really want to get better, ugh. [/Edit]

Oh by the way, I really miss camp. I miss all my friends from there. And I can't use my cell phone for the next week because I'm already 100 minutes over on my plan, so I can't call anyone. Ugh this sucks. Oh, and Josh is off hiatus.

Thanks for commenting! I still have to return comments from the past two blogs though, but I'll get around to it tonight (hopefully). I just got back from camp, and I just want to get all my thoughts down on paper and explain every single detail that happened. But people I know offline read this (including my parents), and I don't want it too be too public. All I'll say is that it was probably the best week of my life (even though I was extremely close to getting kicked out... I won't get into that), and I met so many cool people. Late night chats up in the dorm rooms, running around, drama, sloppy thirds... I'm going to miss it all. It's going to be so depressing getting up in the morning and not having all those people there because they're some of the best friends I've ever had in my life. I didn't really hang out much with the guy I went with because I made so many new friends. I'm thinking about organizing a journalism camp reuinion or something fun like that in a few weeks or sometime before school starts. Yay journalism! There was some bad stuff though. One of my friends got kicked out, and I was so close to getting kicked out with him. The only reason I got to stay is because I was giving someone a ride home. Details will be in my live journal later. And I also lost my driver's liscense, so that's going to be a huge battle to get a new one or get my old one back. I can't drive until then, ugh! I really need a new live journal right about now. Thanks for commenting! I'm writing this from the computer lab at UGA at my journalism camp. I'm on one of these new high tech macs, so I'm kind of confused. Everything looks all sharp and weird, and this computer is hard to figure out. I can't even figure out how to copy and paste, so I can't plug commenters... sorry! But I really want a Mac now. They're so cool! Just letting you know I'm having lots of fun, and I'll be back Saturday. See you then!

Edit: I just realized how horrible my site looks on this Mac. The tables are all misproportioned and some images are not alligned. What the hell? Sorry all you Mac users!

I just want to say thanks for the warm welcome back! I'm glad so many people enjoyed the new content because I really put a lot of work into it. Anyway, I was so bored last night that it reached the point where I was actually starting to return comments from my old Trashy.nu blogs. I'm so bad when it comes to returning comments, but I finally have time now that I'm on summer vacation. I'll be returning the comments from the last blog a little later today. Here are the plugs I promised: Alicia Alisa Amber Andrew Andy Atiqah Billy Brandon Brianna Bruce Cami Carolyn Celest Cezanne Cheri Coshizzle Donna Elyse Emmy Gina Hilary Jamie Jaymi Jen Jennifer Jessica Jessie Jody Joe KayC Kristen Kyle Leigh Lizzie Meg Mike Naco Natasha Phoebe Rachel Rebecca Reema Ricky Sarah Shaun Skylar Stacey Summer Susan Teryn TJ Toni Travis Trish Vicky. Also, thanks for all the submissions to my questions and answers page. Keep them coming because it's so much fun answering them!

Today was a very Harry Potter filled day. I met Erin for lunch in the square, and from there we went to her house to watch movies. We were going to watch Harry Potter 1 and 2, but we only had time to watch 2 before we had to leave to see Harry Potter 3 in the theater! We're such Harry Potter nerds, it's really funny. I hadn't seen the second one, so it was cool to catch up and watch all the movies in order. I think the third one was by far the best, and everyone should go see it. I still wish we had all dressed up really obnoxiously as all the characters because that would have been too cool. We saw this really fat lady in a cape and it made us jealous that we didn't have one. I guess we'll have to go see the movie again, and this time we're making a pit stop at Party City beforehand. But since I went to see Harry Potter, I missed the season premiere of Degrassi. I just got done watching the tape of it, and it was really good. I'm so glad that show's back again because I've seriously missed it. But what the hell, Chris is way too nice to Emma in this one. She only wanted to get revenge on Sean and was using Chris as a rebound boyfriend, but he just let her walk all over him. At least Sean got detention, yay! I can't wait till the episode where Craig gets Manny pregnant. I think it's coming up this month!

This might be my last blog for about a week, and I really don't have much to say before I leave. I'm going to the UGA journalism camp thing tomorrow (I know, I'm a dork, but I love journalism). I'm pretty sure we'll be on computers for most of the day, so I might sneak a blog every now and then. I might decide not to even bother though and just have a nice vacation from the internet. This stupid camp best not be too boring though, because I'm really not in the mood to sit in a school-like environment for a week. And I really hope one of the places I applied for a job calls me back while I'm gone. I applied to almost ten different stores, and if I don't get a job I'll be pissed. I'll see you all later, and don't forget to comment (up at the top) for a plug!

Surprise! Okay, you have to admit: that was a pretty damn good surprise. Who would have thought that I would move back to Remixx.net for the second time? I got you, didn't I?! Just admit it. Anyway, welcome back to Remixx.net for it's thirdng. If you haven't noticed, I've grown quite attached to this domain. It seems as though I can't go more than three months without coming back to this domain. I'd appreciate it if everyone would change their links again... I promise this will be the last time for a while, unless something prevents me from keeping this domain. But wait, the new/old domain isn't the only surprise... look over at the left hand column. What do you see? Content! Yes, it's brand new and updated content! I made 28 new tutorials (with the help of Katie on a few) and started a visitor section with freebies and resources. The visitor section has yet to be completed, but I hope you enjoy what's uploaded so far. I'll probably get to finishing that section by the end of the month. I also added a cam archive and an actual cam page, so check that out. And don't you love the blog layout? I finally bought a layout from Josh after saying that I would for the past few months. And if you can't put two and two together: this is the layout that he made. If you don't want to read about my boring life, you can go ahead and hit up the comments right now, located at the top of the entry next to the date.

After almost a week, summer vacation has finally set in as a reality. At first, it felt so weird having nothing to do all day. All throughout last week and the weekend, I felt as if there was something I needed to be working on. I've been so concentrated on studying for finals, and I kind of lost track of reality. It feels so weird to be online again for more than 30 or 45 minutes a day, but I'm slowly adjusting to having no life. I have been going out with friends a lot though, and I've been spending a lot of time working on the new content. So I guess I've kept myself pretty occupied, but I still feel that I need to be working on something. I bought my summer required reading today, and I think I'll get started on that tomorrow so I can be on top of things for once in my life. I always hate having to skim a few books and throw together an essay during the last week of summer. I can't believe I'm actually thinking about being studious though. *Slaps self*. On a more depressing note, does anyone miss last summer as much as I do? Laury and I have been talking about this today, and it really seems like last summer online was a lot more fun. It's the same offline as well. It seems like there was a lot more stuff to do and more people to talk to. Anyone wanna build a time machine with me?

Onto my reality TV wrap up! I know this is kind of old news now, but what did everyone think about the American Idol finale last week? I was a Diana supporter, and it was kind of sad to see the American Idol crown go to Fantasia. I honestly can't stand Fantasia's voice. How did she manage to win the competition? Fantasia sounds like Macy Gray on helium and a large assortment of drugs. I don't see how people like LaToya London and Jennifer Hudson didn't make it to the finale. Anyhow, they're all, for the most part (minus Fantasia), very talented singers. I hope Diana DeGarmo can be the next Clay Aiken and achieve all the fame and success that he did.

I've run out of things to say, so I will give you all a to do list for the next five minutes. 1) Leave a comment because commenters get plugged in the next entry. 2) Visit Josh and thank him for this hot layout. 3) Plug me? 4) Join Vortex. 5) Submit a question to my Questions & Answers section. 6) Eat a cookie. Have a nice day!
