I love cheesy infomercials

Alicia Keys has acnePlease tell me why this woman is trying to sell me acne treatment products at 2:31 am? Alicia Keys should not be endorsing Proactiv and saying it worked for her when it clearly did not. And more importantly, the makers of the project should realize that they’re not going to do convince a lot of people to purchase by using a celebrity with terrible skin. I also read that Britney Spears has her own infomercial for Proactiv… but have you seen her crater face?! Why are these people considered success stories?!

There’s clearly nothing good on television in the wee hours of the morning. If Bruce Willis tries to sell me some hair care products, I just might go insane.

That’s actually an old pic of Alicia Keys, but she really does have nice skin now. And I use proactiv and it works, so despite what you think, you’re still wrong. Besides that, NICE LAYOUT. Have a great day :)

actually, my friend bought it and used it for a while. it worked great, but then maybe her skin became used to it or something, but it slowly stopped working.

that’s pretty funny because in chaotic britney spears prances around without make up on her face is pretty badly beat up with acne. and well either way alicia keys still has noticable acne, i personally don’t believe in proactiv, but who knows people actually buy into those things.

I heard proactiv works great, my cousins use it. I don’t want to try it - i heard as soon as you go off it your acne turns into a beast! Plus it’s really expensive… I’ll just stick with washing my face.

i’m sorry. i didn’t mean to wake you. it’s just that, i get the time all mixed up here in the pacific islands :p

i have used proactive before, and it works. it doesn’t make it as smooth as the airbrushed actors on the informercials, but it works better than most otc acne treatments. the secret is benzoyl peroxide. since most otc “acne medicines” use salyclic acid, it doesn’t work for acne-proned people. so i stopped forking over hard earned money for overpriced proactive and started using cheaper stuff - anything with 10% benzoyl peroxide, and it works just fine. not as great, but beggars can’t be choosers i guess.

    okay, the end.

I remember seeing one with Snoop Dogg a few weeks ago. haha. Oh boy - a Britney Spears one? That’s smart. rofl. Infomercials seem to overpower programming in the middle of the night.

Probably because most people are sleeping at 2:31 am, and if not they’re probably too freakin tired to notice the volcanoes :D

Never used it. The infomercial is on right now though. It’s a weird one.

But I say Britney has a small excuse. She’s pregnant and has hormones and everything going on.

The real question should be, unless your face looks like a volcano just erupted on it, why are you even using crap like that? People act like it’s some abnormal thing to have acne. I mean, it’s not … normal, but it’s not like there’s a tumor growing on your face. My sister gets small tiny break outs that last for maybe an hour or… a day and she wants to get something for it. Complete crap if you ask me.

Anyway, now that my minirant is over… umm… Yeah HEY! Whats up? lol Want to know WHY celebrities have bad skin? It’s all that freaking makeup they wear.

Proactiv doesn’t really work for me either, but I still use it. I have no idea why.

LOL Celebs just do it for the money basically. And Alicia Keys has always had a problem with acne, so it’s pretty hard for her, and plus, informercials is all that’s on at night.

lmao. i use proactive, and it works just fine on my face… i guess it might have to do with hormones if it doesn’t work.. who knows.. but yes.. Brucy better stay away from hair product commercials.. i’ll go insane with you. haha!

I always end up watching infomercials. I think I’ve probably watched the little giant ladder one like 5 times. It’s always the same ones though. What is the date of the Alicia Keys picture you posted above?

OMG, I so agree! Informercials suck. Jessica Simpson on Proactiv, was enough. It’s insane. Yeah, Britney Spears face is pretty bad. blah. :/

There’s pretty much ALWAYS some celebrity trying to sell you stuff that you know doesn’t work. And For Alicia Keys and Britney Spears to seel stuff against acne is hilarious. It’s all so lame. Like I saw this acress doing a commercial for pilates. Like it will make me skinnier that she has the money to use a personalt trainer 5 times a week.
I think I’m gonna pitch the Bruce Willis idea to Herbal Essence lol.
