RIP Peter Jennings
ABC News anchor Peter Jennings dies at 67. This is very sad news. I grew up watching Peter Jennings do the nightly news every night on ABC, and he’s one of the people who made me take an interest in persuing journalism. Although he’s been off the air for a few months undergoing treatment for cancer, it’s hard to think I’m never going to be able to watch him do the news again. RIP.
Other than that, the past few days have been relatively boring in my life. I’ve continued to procrastonate with my schoolwork, doing nothing but hang out with friends and surf the Internet. I only have a week of summer left, so I’m taking advantage of it. School can wait.

I know what you mean. It’s sad that he died. My mom has Empysema, its not the same thing but still, I’m way against smoking for those reasons.
RIP.
I don’t go back to school until like, after Labor Day. And I thought MY summer was short..haha.

Peter was one of the greatest journalists of all-time and a great inspiration. I find it sad that so many people that replied said they didn’t know who he was.
I was surprised that people from Canada didn’t know him, because Peter was Canadian. His father was Sir Charles Jennings, a pioneer in Canadian broadcasting.

I’ve seen this news on quite a few websites. I’m surprised, him being so popular and all, that I have never once heard of him. Before now, of course. It seems like he was a great guy. RIP.

Im really sad that Peter Jennings died the way he did. No one deserves to die of cancer, especially after he quit 20 years ago than restarted. However, my only problemw ith him was that he was extremely anti-Israel and he used his airtime to make anti-Israel comments.
Yay for procrastinating! School can definitely wait, especially since you Georgians have to start so early. Yeek, how can you start in AUGUST??!!

My family was talking about him tonight and cancer. I was only half listening so I didn’t know what happened, but that is very sad. I’m sorry that happened. Death is always a very sad thing and there is no helping that. I can not put a face to the name but I certainly have heard of him. RIP for Peter and for you, take care.

As a fellow news junkie, I can say I was defnitely saddened by the news. And he didn’t look nearly as old as he was, which made it all the more surprising. They said he had lung cancer. Did he even smoke?

I was kinda shocked to hear he died. I didn’t really know he was sick or had cancer. I guess I never really watched that news. It’s sad though, he was very old.

Ehh… I can’t say much on Peter Jenning’s death because I don’t watch ABC news, let alone television seeing as I have no channels. Yes, it sucks. Fortunately, the death did not affect me. Just be happy he was alive for long enough to inspire you, right? x]

Aw I know, the news will never be the same without him. I really didn’t think he was that old, I mean he didn’t look it. Needless to say, he will be missed. As for pushing off school work for some end of the summer fun, you have every right to bud. I’d do the same thing. My reasoning would be because I don’t care about school period…ever. I always slept during it. Sad, huh?
