  • So you've seen those trendy abstract 3d things at people's sites recently. You're probably thinking it's pretty hard right? Well it's not! It's pretty much just a few clicks of the mouse.
  • First,up 3d studio max and under standard primitives, click "teapot". Make the teapot in your perspective view (bottom right). (CLICK HERE)
  • Next, go to your modifier list and click "noise". Make your parameters like mine. (CLICK HERE)
  • OK, in your perspective view you see a big ball of spikey crap. You need to zoom out. Click on your magnifiying glass in the bottom right hand corner and drag it down. You should be able to see your thing now. (CLICK HERE)
  • Now it's time to add a material to it to make it look nice. After you've done that and dragged it onto your image, render it. I finished with this.
