Go to Discreet.com and fill out the order form to get a demo CD. It takes about 3 weeks to get to your house, but it's well worth the wait.

Download licpath.zip and unzip it. Move the contents of the zipped file into your 3dsm directory on your computer.

Go to Start > Programs > Discreet > 3dsmax 5 > Liscense Configuration Switcher. Change it to "network".

Tah-dah! Your very own full version of 3d Studio Max 5.
