Zipping files can come in handy when you want to put a bunch of files in one folder and save space. They will have a .zip extension, and can be unzipped by someone else using Winzip.
Say you want to zip a picture. Make a new folder, and name it whatever you want. Let's say you named it "picture". Drag and drop your picture into the folder called "picture".
Right click on the folder, and hover over "Send To". More options should come up. Click "Compressed (zipped) folder". This will then create the .zip file with the picture in it. The filename will be picture.zip.
