Need a few tips or hints to make your graphics better? Here are some that I use:
- If you are making a layout, be sure to make the image so it can fit in both 800x600 and 1024x768 without scrolling to the right.
- Giving an image a simple black 1px border can make it look complete. You don't always need to use black or 1px, but normally that's what goes with everything.
- Don't use too many colors on one image and try to keep everything flowing well.
- Sometimes it's the simple things that look better. Don't over do something so it looks like a mess (unless if that's what you're going for).
- Use blending modes such as overlay, screen, softlight, hardlight, etc.
- When blending, use the eraser tool keep the hardness and opacity low. Or use the feathering option.
